Final Fantasy 7 Remake was undoubtedly one of the hallmark games of 2020, despite releasing all the way back in April. Now that Final Fantasy 7 Remake is a contender for game of the year at the upcoming Game Awards show, it is reentering the conversation as the year comes to an end.

However, the Game Awards event is not the only reason that Final Fantasy 7 Remake is making a comeback in people’s minds. Despite being impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Orchestra World Tour has announced brand new tour dates and locations for 2021.

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has affected the world in countless ways over these past eight months. While news of a COVID-19 vaccine has brought some hope to many people, it’s likely that the world will experience the affects of the pandemic for quite some time. Still, it’s reassuring to know that progress is being made, slowly but surely. Unfortunately, countless commercial events have been affected by the pandemic, and the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Orchestra World Tour is no exception.

Thankfully, AWR Music Productions, which puts on the orchestral performances of these beloved songs, has delivered some great news for Final Fantasy fans. The FF7R Orchestra has added new tour dates and locations to its official tour schedule. Some notable stops include Tokyo, Los Angeles, and London. It seems that the orchestra will start its tour in Tokyo in early February 2021 and will end in Spain on December 11, 2021.

It goes without saying, but the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Orchestra World Tour is going to be a huge event in 2021. The Final Fantasy series is known for having amazing music, but many fans of the series credit Final Fantasy 7 as having the best soundtrack in the series. Now, much of Final Fantasy 7’s iconic music is being remade for Final Fantasy 7 Remake and performed live by AWR Music Productions. Those lucky enough to be able to attend the live performance next year are sure to be in for a treat.

This isn’t the first time that Square Enix has organized a live orchestra world tour for one of its games, either. In 2018, the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra returned for a second worldwide tour after celebrating the series’ 15th anniversary. The Kingdom Hearts Orchestra received critical acclaim following its run two years ago, and hopefully the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Orchestra is able to live up to that same reputation.

The tour dates and locations for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Orchestra World Tour that have been confirmed so far are as follows:

  • Tokyo, Japan – February 12-13, 2021
  • Los Angeles, California, USA – March 6, 2021
