Ubisoft has announced a new charity program for the FPS shooter Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege. The Sixth Guardian charity program partners with various charitable organizations to offer players exclusive operator bundles for a good cause. Bundles will contain items for specific operators such as weapons, charms, uniforms, and headgear and will be themed after the partnered charity.

The Sixth Guardian charity program will feature different charities throughout the upcoming seasons of Rainbow Six Siege. The first charity bundle will be for the heavy armor healer Doc and 100% of net proceeds will go to Ablegamers, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of gamers with disabilities. The bundle will feature an orange and white camo uniform, a Sixth Guardian hat, a weapon, and a charm, all modeled after the color and logo of Ablegamers.

The Ablegamers bundle will launch alongside the new season and will cost 1200 credits in the store. Rainbow Six Siege Year 5 will kick off with the Operation: Neon Dawn, which will add new features including a map and new operator. Operation: Neon Dawn released on test servers on November 9th with the new season expected to fully release in December.

The Sixth Guardian charity program will work with multiple charities, however, Ubisoft has not announced every charity involved. It does seem fitting that Ablegamers is the first charity, as the organization is currently holding its annual Unlocktober fundraiser, which last year, raised over $130,000 during the month.

The Ablegamers charity was established in 2004, and since then, has made a huge impact in the gaming community for gamers with disabilities. Ablegamers has worked with developers to introduce new accessibility features, has worked with controller manufacturers to design accessible controllers, and has designed and built accessible arcades and gaming centers for those with disabilities. The list goes on and on and Ablegamers has remained dedicated to taking action to provide tools to gamers with disabilities.

Recently, Ablegamers COO Steven Spohn announced his birthday wish to raise $1 million for the Ablegamers charity. Spohn discussed his wish in a video posted on social media and shared that many doubted he would make it to his 40th birthday due to his condition. Spohn shared that his birthday wish is intended to make sure that every gamer supported by Ablegamers is able to outlive him and be provided every means of playing video games and Twitch responded by teaming up with DrLupo to surprise Spohn with a $1 million donation. Ablegamers continues to do amazing work and spreads awareness, and the Ablegamers Sixth Guardian bundle in Rainbow Six: Siege will benefit gamers with disabilities even more.

Rainbow Six: Siege is available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with plans for next-gen consoles.
