Mystery adventure Call of the Sea sets sail this December

Norah the explorer.

Back in May - which feels oh so long ago - one of the games revealed in Microsoft's Xbox Series X stream was Call of the Sea, a mystery island adventure set in the 1930s that looked rather stunning. And it looks like the game's maiden voyage is just around the corner, as a Microsoft Store listing has revealed a release date of 8th December.

As detailed by the store listing, Call of the Sea is now available for digital pre-order and pre-download on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, with the game set to become playable on the 8th at midnight. It's available on Game Pass from launch, and will also release on PC.

Published by Raw Fury, this is the first game from Madrid-based studio Out of the Blue, and the vibrant art style combined with the 30s setting has definitely piqued my interest. The game follows the story of Norah, who sets out in search of her husband's missing expedition party, and finds herself on a mysterious island full of secrets from a lost civilization.

We knew Call of the Sea was set to launch sometime in late 2020, but it's great to get a solid date to pencil into the diary. I'll pop it right next to my mystery clue notes.
