Assassin's Creed Valhalla's open world map is full of mysteries, wealth, and artifacts for players to hunt down. Sometimes getting these things is as easy as following the marker on the map, but other times they require a bit more critical thinking. The Standing Stones puzzles are an example of this.

Taking place in late 9th century England, Assassin's Creed Valhalla represents a land undergoing constant change. Players can come across a Danish settlement, an established English city, and ancient Roman ruins all in a day's ride, showcasing just how tumultuous things really are in England at this time. The Standing Stones are a testament to this as well, and many believe them to be a place where mystical energy congregates.

The Cosintun Standing Stones are both easy to find and relatively simple to solve, but they can still throw players off that don't fully understand what it is that they're supposed to be doing. Below is an explanation of how to go about finding the solution to this puzzle, as well as a detailed description of what the exact solution is. Players wanting to solve this AC Valhalla puzzle for themselves should not read on.

In order to solve Standing Stones puzzles, players first need to find them. In the case of the Cosintun Standing Stones, they can be found in Ledecestrescire on the other side of the river to the west of Wenloch Abbey. After locating them, players will find a stone sticking out of the ground with a symbol marked on it. Examining this will give some backstory to the area and show a clearer image of what the symbol is. Players must then use Odin's Sight to see markings on the stones in the area, finding a place to stand that lines the markings up to recreate that symbol.

How to solve Cosintun Standing Stones AC Valhalla

The solution for the Cosintun Standing Stones puzzle is simple, as players need but find the right spot to stand. Unfortunately, before that can happen, Eivor will need to take out the armed enemies in the area first. After clearing the camp and examining the stone, players should position themselves so that the large tower can be seen through the stone arch. Using Odin's sight should reveal the symbol from here, though the player may have to move the camera around a bit to get it to register.

Aside from the combat beforehand, the Cosintun Standing Stones puzzle is one of the easier found throughout England. Completing these nets players skill points that can be used to unlock powerful abilities like Heavy Dual Wield, so they're worth taking the time to do if the player happens across them on their journey.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
