Vampire: The Masquerade, the iconic RPG is set to get a new spin-off in the form of a brand new battle royale experience.
Teased by developer Sharkmob just yesterday, this new take on Vampire: The Masquerade is certainly not what you’d expect from a franchise full of narrative stories and tabletop adventures. Still, the initial announcement also comes with a 32-second teaser trailer to get our teeth into and it’s compelling enough. The trailer gives us a look at a female vampire going up against a raft of other opponents across city streets and rooftops as they scale buildings, vault through open air and unleash a range of explosive weapons on each other. Dropping into this cityscape, you’ll be able to choose from a range of playstyles, going solo or teaming up with other competitors, all while a looming Entity attempts to hunt down and exterminate all vampires.
That’s really all we know about the upcoming Vampire: The Masquerade battle royale. We don’t even have a title or a release window as yet. As unusual as the concept of a Vampire: The Masquerade battle royale sounds, the game seems to be in good hands. The team behind this new twist on the franchise was founded back in 2017 by talent from both Massive Entertainment and IO Interactive, and the London spin-off is also working on their own new IP.
