With next-gen consoles around the corner, Warhammer: Chaosbane has been confirmed as a launch title for PS5 and Xbox Series X. Releasing as the Warhammer Chaosbane: Slayer Edition, it will include all previously available content for the game and includes a new playable character: Jurgen Haider the Witch Hunter.

Warhammer: Chasobane Slayer Edition will include several changes and improvements to the game, including an expanded bestiary, new zones, and expanded hub areas. With the improvement to the hardware in the next-gen consoles, the new version of the game will run at much higher quality in 4K resolution and 60 fps. Nacon and Eko Software have released a trailer alongside the announcement for Jurgen, showcasing the character.

For those unfamiliar with the title, Warhammer: Chaosbane is an action-RPG hack-and-slash, set in the fantasy Warhammer universe. Originally released in 2019, many people will already own the title. For those who do own the game on PC, Xbox or Playstation, the new character will be available to them through paid DLC. There will also be a patch that will add some of the new zones and expanded hubs that have been previewed for the next-gen consoles.

With the launch of the Xbox Series X/S and the Playstation 5 only weeks away, Warhammer: Chaosbane will bolster options for players who are unsure which launch day games they will be picking up. For anyone who enjoys fantasy hack-and-slash, this will be a warmly welcomed announcement.

Warhammer: Chaosbane Slayer Edition will release on Xbox Series X/S on November 10th, and on PS5 on November 12th.
