It's been a seriously long time since we last heard from Praey for the Gods, hasn't it? This upcoming experience that attempts to emulate Shadow of the Colossus has just been confirmed for PlayStation 5 alongside a current-gen release, arriving in early 2021 for both consoles. Check out the gameplay trailer above to see how No Matter Studios has taken heavy inspiration from the Team ICO masterpiece.

Over on the PlayStation Blog, director Brian Parnell explains that Praey for the Gods will run at 60 frames-per-second on PS5. PS4 will be 30 frames-per-second and won't feature the same graphical settings, full shadows, and high-resolution textures. Load times are also said to be dramatically reduced on next-gen hardware. The game will take advantage of the DualSense controller's haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, with PS4 owners getting a free upgrade to the PS5 version. That's always nice, isn't it?

"We’re in the last stages of development and focusing on making the PS5 version the best it can be. We can’t wait to have you all get to play the v1.0 version of Praey for the Gods when it ships early Q1 2021 on PS4 and PS5." Do you like the look of Praey for the Gods?
