OSRS Combat Guide for F2P Players

If you are an F2P player in OSRS, then you might want to consider these areas for leveling up your combat skill.
OSRS

For those of you who are out to quest for OSRS gold and glory, there are a few things that you will need to know first. Plus, if you are playing the F2P version of the game, then you might find that getting ready to take on the world of Old School Runescape can be a rather uphill and lengthy task. You are also limited compared to members as well.

However, there are still ways for you to get the most out of combat training. With that being said, this short OSRS Combat guide will show you the best places for you to train combat as a F2P player.

First 20 levels

We are off to the farmhouse near Lumbridge to take on some chickens. As with most games at early levels, this is a time where leveling up happens pretty quickly. You have the bonus as well of the chickens dropping feathers, as well as being able to collect raw chicken. Once you have done so, head over to the nearby range to cook the chicken, which will also help you improve your cooking skill at the same time. If you are planning on becoming a full member at some point, then keep hold of your chicken feathers for Fletching in the future.

Once you have hit level 10, make your way over to Lumbridge Swamp. Next, we will be fighting Giant Rats, just south of the graveyard. By doing so, you are bound to hit level 20 in no time.

Reaching Level 30

From there, we will now be focusing on Al-Kharid warriors to take us to level 30. These level 9 NPCs are a great way for you to build experience on an hourly basis due to their defenses. If you make sure that you have gathered food too then you can even AFK this leveling up if you wish.

Hill Giants to Level 70

Hill Giants can be used to progress your character all the way to level 70. This is because they offer plentiful experience per hour, and offer drops that are good for making OSRS gold. If you head towards the Grand Exchange going west of the cooking guild, then you will find them here.

Head into the Grand Exchange and buy a brass key, which will allow you to enter the small house. You are now ready to start training in an area that many old school players will remember fondly.

To Level 80

Giant spiders are your next port of call, so it’s time to get ourselves some food and potions to do battle with them. In the Stronghold Security dungeon, head to the third level, known as Pit of Pestilence. If you keep moving back and forth to the area, then you will find this to be a very viable method of leveling. Just make sure your defense skill is high enough to withstand the spiders here, as this is a very handy place for you to level up.

Surpassing Level 80

Finally, going to the Corsair Cove Dungeon will be a place for you to go beyond level 80, courtesy of the Ogress Warriors that inhabit the area. They do have good attack and defense but they will net you good amounts of XP for taking them down. Again, make sure you are well equipped with plenty of food and potions.

All of these methods are also helpful in racking up some hard-earned cash, so you won’t have to worry about having to buy OSRS gold. OSRS gold buying is often a common practice for some to get richer, but some of these methods will raise your combat skill and net some profit at the same time, maybe even enough for you to start to sell OSRS gold if you wish.
