Marvel's Avengers has released a new patch. Version 1.3.3 of the game addresses several bugs and technical issues, and introduces new content and "highly requested quality of life (QoL) and playability improvements."

The Avengers Patch V1.3.3 Highlights mention several welcome updates to the game, such as remote faction terminals, an extended pickup radius for dropped rewards, and adjustments to the closed caption settings. QoL and playability tweaks aside, the patch introduces a new outpost, and form of daily mission, to the game.

The new content introduced in Avengers Patch 1.3.3 consists of SHIELD Substation Zero Outpost, and Tachyon Rift Missions. Although the patch is available as of October 14, 2020, the new content doesn't go live until October 15th. As per the official patch notes, SHIELD is using its new Substation Zero outpost to research "temporal anomalies" across the world. The outpost will be found in the Pacific Northwest on the War Table, and promises to offer new characters, stories, and content.

Super Heroes will investigate the aforementioned temporal anomalies by completing Tachyon Rift Missions. These missions are a late-game offering in Marvel's Avengers (140 Power Level minimum) - they're available on a daily rotating schedule, and offer players their first chance to acquire precious Cosmic Gear.

Remote faction terminals at every outpost should entice players because they allow for Avengers villain bounties and faction assignments to be collected without physically visiting faction coordinators. This small change will spare heroes from a fair amount of unnecessary travel. On a smaller scale, players can now also preview cosmetic vendor items, and pick up reward drops from a greater distance.

Movement speed in outposts will also now be increased when in Avengers Initiative, and AI companions will benefit from some fine-tuning (some of which concerns assistance when a player needs to be revived.) Moreover, a fix has been implemented to restore "Iron Man's iconic outfit" to accounts that previously lost it due to a bug.

Last, but certainly not least, are welcome improvements to Mega Hive Rewards. Successful heroes will now receive a guaranteed two exotic gear items, and greater amounts of upgrade modules, upon completion. Needless to say, this is more than an adequate improvement to the issue of no Hive rewards at all.

Developers promise that V1.3.4 is already underway, and will offer further fine-tuning adjustments and additional UI options. Thankfully, players will have a good bit of new content on their hands until then. If Substation Zero is a bit too high-level, players can take advantage of some of the improved reward offerings to beef up their squad of Supes.

Marvel's Avengers is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One. PS5 and Xbox Series X versions currently in development.
