We're entering the final quarter of 2020, and man, there's a lot happening. Not only does PlayStation 4 have plenty of exciting software lined up in October and November, but the PS5 is due out in a matter of weeks. There's so much to pack into the next couple of months, so we'll keep this brief. Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time - 2nd October
Did you ever think we'd see a numbered Crash Bandicoot sequel when this generation started? Crash 4 is a direct follow-up to the events of Warped, with Neo Cortex back to cause even more time-twisting chaos. With gorgeous revamped visuals, this game goes back to the beloved formula of Naughty Dog's originals while throwing in a bunch of new ideas. Oodibigah!

FIFA 21 - 9th October (PS4)
The latest iteration of EA's football sim is nearly here. Changes in this year's game include an improved career mode, with the strategic new Interactive Match Sim and tweaks to player development and transfers. While PS5 and PS4 players won't be able to play together, you do get a free upgrade to the next-gen version.
Watch Dogs Legion - 29th October (PS4), 24th November (PS5)
The next entry in the Watch Dogs series is coming to both PS5 and PS4. This time, the hacker underworld invades a near-future London, and you'll of course be fighting back against the mass surveillance brought on by CtOS. The main hook here is that you can recruit and play as pretty much every NPC you can find on the streets, each with their own abilities and attributes, whether it's a burly builder or a retired assassin. Don't forget, you can upgrade from PS4 to PS5 for no extra fee.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla - 10th November (PS4), 12th November (PS5)
Assassin's Creed Valhalla takes the series to ninth century England, where you'll play as the viking leader Eivor as they clash with the Anglo-Saxons. With this interesting setting as a backdrop, you're given a huge open world to explore and conquer in this action RPG. The game comes to both PS5 and PS4 in mid-November, and remember, you can upgrade to the next-gen version for free.
Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales - 12th November (USA), 19th November (UK)
Insomniac Games is following up its excellent Spider-Man game with a spin-off focusing on the titular hero. Miles is coming to terms with his newfound powers and you'll play as him while he figures out how to be his own Spidey. It's sure to be full of amazing action as you swing through the snowy Manhattan setting. If you buy on PS4, you'll be able to claim the PS5 version for free.

Just Valhalla (Xbox Series S) & Cyberpunk (PS4) for me. Not going to buy PS5 games & accessories if I can't get ahold of s system.
I wonder if there are any cheaper 3D Audio Headsets.

So most of the PS5 games are $10/€20 more expensive, but the offer free updates for the PS4 versions. What's stopping anyone from buying the PS4 version and get the PS5 patch for free? It just doesn't make any sense.
@HotGoomba any stereo headphones will work with the 3D audio, as it'll output the audio through the 3.5mm Jack, USB ports for people with USB audio setups and eventually, the HDMI port.
You’ll be betters off buying a solid pair of stereo headphones, rather than investing in these. Especially now Sony are providing a native Virtual surround solution on the system. Of course if you’re on a tighter budget, these might hold more value depending on how they review, but don’t feel as if your completely restricted to these to experience 3D audio on PS5 as its now open to ALL headphones.

Hopefully nothing. I have Valhalla as a PS4 rental and will try and upgrade to PS5 (GameFly not renting PS5 games)

Why is Cyberpunk not mentioned in the highlights? It's one of the most anticipated releases of the year!

I would rather sacrifice Assasin's Creed, FIFA or Watch Dogs which are already big, established series 😉 missing out Cyberpunk in the highlights seems unfair
@deathaxe Yeah, I do not know how it was with PS3 to PS4. But they had Switch games pretty early on.
Why the Free Upgrade could save the day.
Valhalla, FarCry, sackboy, fenyx Rising are all on my GameFly list hoping I can upgrade to PS5 with a PS4 disc.
@Octane I agree, you're also getting two versions of the game instead of just the PS5 version.
@Agramonte I would have thought you'd still need the disc in the drive for the PS5 version to work.
I'll be definitely pre-ordering Spider-Man: Miles Morales (PS5) and Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory (PS4).
As for these other games, I shall be waiting for reviews and for them to drop down to $25 or cheaper.

I disagree.
I personally loved my Pulse Elites on PS3 and my Platinums with 3D audio on PS4 truly made a difference. A marriage of the two is beautiful imo. The 3D audio on PS5 will even work to a degree on your TV speakers, but I'd have to imagine a set made by Sony to take advantage of it would yield better results.
I'm so happy the pulse technology is back also. The Pulse Elites and 3D audio Platinums were each $150 or more. Under $100 is a steal imo. I have them on pre-order and I'm excited.

I will purchase Mortal Shell if it has a next gen upgrade. At least it might take the sting off of Souls fans who are getting an Xbox rather than a PS5.

@iamtylerdurden1 I suck at Soulsborne games, tried Dark Souls 1 and Bloodborne, gave up on them both.
I'll still buy Demon's Souls eventually, but in no hurry to buy!
