As the closed beta for Hi-Rez Studios and First Watch Games’ tactical hero-shooter Rogue Company goes on, players continue to look forward to new content. In the past few weeks, First Watch has provided that in the form of the new “Vice” map and other features added in a recent update, and now a new leak suggests that players will soon receive a brand new playable Rogue named Dahlia.

The name Dahlia has floated around for months, after it was revealed that she would be among the extra playable characters included in Rogue Company’s Founder’s Pack. Other than that, there haven’t been any substantial details regarding the character until this week, as the Rogue reveal trailer for Dahlia was leaked ahead of time, spoiling how she will work in-game.

From the look of things, Dahlia’s loadout will focus mainly on close-range combat, with noticeable weapons including the Objection SMG and a katana. Further emphasizing sticking close to the action is Dahlia’ abilities, Danger Close and Buddy System, which will revolve around linking up with an ally Rogue for the duration of a round in Rogue Company. Danger Close will revive the linked ally wherever they get knocked down (provided players are close enough) while Buddy System grants Dahlia their passive ability.

Rogue Company characters

Combined with perks that incentivize constantly moving and engaging with enemies, Dahlia sounds like she could be a good pick for players with more aggressive playstyles. It’s currently unclear when she might be added to the game, but since Rogue Company’s content roadmap for 2020 states that a new Rogue is planned to be added this year, it’s possible it may happen soon.

Rogue Company is in development for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
