After its release on PC four years ago, Postal Redux will be heading to Nintendo Switch following two decades of being absent on console. The console version of Postal Redux will also feature the Rampage mode seen in its PC debut in 2016.

Postal Redux apparently goes beyond the definition of a "remaster." The game's reveal trailer shows footage of gunplay, destruction, and presentation as seen on a handheld Nintendo Switch.

The trailer for the game demos multiple weapons from the game, including an assault rifle, flame thrower, shotgun, and missile launcher. Moreover, the trailer presents a variety of areas, including urban and rural areas. The trailer also shows the player character in a department store and a wintery setting.

Postal Redux on Switch will also include a mode titled "Rampage," which requires players to kill as many NPCs as possible in a given time. The game will be available on the eShop for $9.99 USD.

Postal Redux's May 2016 release on PC received mixed reviews, with the game being criticized for not expanding on the original aside from improved visuals. However, the title received a "Very Positive" Steam rating from Steam users.

Although Postal drew its share of criticism upon its initial release in 1997 for gratuitous violence, the game spawned three sequels, including Postal 2 and Postal 3. The series' last core installment, Postal 4: No Regrets, launched in October 2019 on PC. Like Postal ReduxPostal 4: No Regerts received positive reviews on Steam.

Postal Redux will launch for Switch on October 16, 2020.
