Phoenix Labs has announced another big addition to its flagship title, Dauntless. The Untamed Wilds update brings a host of new content to Slayers including a new Escalation, a wicked new Behemoth, and all-new story content. The patch has launched for all available platforms including Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via Epic Games Store. Untamed Wilds also features full cross-platform support.
Escalation is the game’s gauntlet game mode. The patch includes Terra Escalation that sends players to the Arbourhome that has been overrun by a “blight of Sporestruck Behemoths”. After a flurry of fierce fights, Slayers will take on the brand new keystone behemoth: Agarus. “Agarus uses poison and its long vine-like limbs to isolate Slayers and unleash noxious fumes in every direction.”
If Slayers are lucky enough to take Agarus down they will receive schematics for a legendary weapon that enables an instant revive of fallen companions. It has a large radius and offers stagger immunity and healing over time.
Players will also find a new hunt type called Missions. These combine story, combat, and exploration that reveal more about the lore behind the game world. Players will take on Sporestruck Embermane and Sporestruck Charrogg.
Lastly, the latest version of the Hunt Pass has launched called Strange Horizons. Within the pass, players can earn cosmetic armor sets sprinkled throughout the 50 available levels of rewards.
