Final Fantasy XIV, an MMORPG that keeps getting better with each expansion, has a lot for its players to do. It is not unusual to play this game for years and put thousands of hours into your character through leveling up classes, doing quests, grinding dungeons, and getting the best gear.

Among the many things a player can do in the game is sightseeing. There are various logs players can complete such as hunting and gathering. Sightseeing doesn't require defeating enemies or making items though. Instead, you just see the world and use the emote "lookout" on marked locations. There are many reasons for a player to tackle their sightseeing log. Some just want the markers to go away while others want to get the image as a painting for their home. There are also players who are just completionists who enjoy getting every little task done.

Not every lookout point is easy though. Some are more than just standing somewhere easy to get to. There are lookout points that are challenging to get to. Many players often ignore these, for the challenge is too great for little reward. However, there are ways to do these that players have posted online and shared on videos.

10 The Tent In The Crystarium (x10.4, y13.1)

Shadowbringers it the most recent expansion, and it added a whole new group of lookout points for those who competed theirs in Stormblood. Among these were some challenging ones, such as the lookout point on top of a tent in the market board area.

What the player has to do to reach this point is to go to the upper floor. Guides have specifically pointed out that x10.4,y13.5 on your map is the best place to go. From there, you have to jump and hope you land on that tent.

9 The Pole In The Understory Of Eulmore (x11.1, y11.4)

The other major city in Shadowbringers is Eulmore. At the bottom floor of the Understory, there is a pole with a lookout point on top. The matter is no simple jump either. You have to jump from above, and players have succeeded both in the top floor jump and the middle floor jump.

Most players have to try many times, as the landing is very small. Some have gone as far as to explode themselves as Blue Mages for healers to resurrect on top of the lookout point. However, that doesn't always work.

8 The Top Of Shiokaze Hostelry In Kugane (x10.2,y10.0)

This nightmare is known to be the most difficult lookout point in the entire MMO game. Your jumping skills need to be the best as you complete a long trek up this building. Many players have uploaded videos of themselves completing the jumping puzzle. They make it look much easier than it actually is.

To make matters worse, you have to line yourself up for a jump down to another hard-to-get lookout point. If you fail, you will have to climb this monstrous building all over again. It is no wonder even the most hardcore players skip this particular lookout point.

7 The Leatherworkers Guild (x12.8,y7.8)

Even beginner areas like Old Girdania have difficult lookout points. This one is a little different from most, as it is indoors! A Realm Reborn areas are actually a little more difficult, as they are weather dependent. For example, this lookout point only appears when the weather is cloudy. Even more difficult is that these lookout points are only available at certain times of the day. This particular one only appears from 12 A.M. to 5 P.M.

This is inside the Leatherworkers guild. Players have to go up some steps and jump on the table to the right wall and then again to the higher shelf. These spaces are quite small so it is easy to misstep if you even can make the jump in the first place. Some players found the ability of Peloton to be helpful for a running start. Dancers, Machinists, and Bards have that ability.

6 Bridge Lantern In Coerthas Western Highlands (x29.9,y23.8,z1.5)

Even though you can fly in this area, this lookout point can be a little difficult. You cannot simply fly over and land on it. You have to maneuver yourself to fall and land on the lantern.

To do this, you must climb the bridge chain. It will take a couple of tries. Luckily, it is not as hard as the Eulmore and Kugane lampposts. The fact that you can fly also helps you set up your retry faster.

5 U'Ghamaro Mines (x23,y11)

Only appearing in fair or clear weather, this lookout point is in Outer La Noscea in Kobold territory. It's on top of a high furnace.

The player has to jump from the smaller furnace to the bigger one. There is a sort of smokestack on the small one that can block the player from reaching the larger furnace. The key is to jump on the smokestack and to jump across to the big furnace. It is also important to know that since this is A Realm Reborn lookout point, it only appears from 12 A.M. to 5 P.M.

4 Lamp Post In Kugane (x11.1,y9.9)

This is part two of the Kugane sightseeing nightmare. Once the player reaches the top of Shiokaze Hostelry, they need to position themselves to make a final leap to the lamppost on the street. If you miss, it will really not be fun to climb Shiokaze Hostelry all over again.

It is a small landing spot too, making it the most difficult lookout point in the game. Even if you get to the top of the Hostelry, there is no guarantee of landing on the lamppost. To make matters worse, it will mock you every time you visit Kugane since it is easily seen as you walk around.

3 In Rhalgr's Reach (x10.5,y9.7)

This one takes a small jumping puzzle that beings at x10.1 y9.3 on the map. It can actually be a little hard to notice and even if a player does notice it, most don't know where to begin climbing.

Once positioned at x10.1 y9.3, you have to climb the pillar and jump in a zig-zag formation to the little constructs that sit out. If you have that down, then the rest is easy.

2 Apkallu Falls (x10,y6)

This is yet another difficult lookout point in Old Girdania and only appears when the weather is fair or clear. Also, it only can be completed after sunset. The lookout point is on a lamppost and is only available when the lamppost light is on. That is from 6 P.M. to 5 A.M.

The player has to climb onto a cliff on the southeast by jumping onto a rock. The best way to find it is through player videos of completion. After climbing, you have to sprint and jump to try to land on the lamppost.

1 Camp Bronze Lake (x30.8,y22.4)

Available in only clear or fair weather, this lookout point only appears for just an hour every day. It is available between 5 P.M and 6 P.M. Go to the hot springs area and use the barrels at the side of a building to climb from an awning to a cliff-side. From the cliff-side, you can get to the roof of the building that the lookout point is on.
