The developers behind cyberpunk title Ghostrunner have announced the game's debut will be happen hot on the heels of its private beta this October. In a new trailer for PAX Online 2020, co-developers One More Level, 3D Realms, and Slipgate Ironworks announced Ghostrunner's official release date.

The trailer briefly introduces viewers to Ghostrunner's setting, Dharma City, amidst flashes of gameplay. Through the conversation between the game's protagonist and his mysterious benefactor, Architect Cybervoid, the trailer lays out its premise - to scale Dharma Tower and liberate the city from Mara the Keymaster. After showing off the main character's sword combat against various enemies, a energy whip grappling mechanic, and seamless runs through the city, the trailer confirmed that Ghostrunner will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on October 27, 2020.

Since its announcement in 2019, Ghostrunner has shown promise. With every new showcase and demonstration, like a sixteen-minute gameplay video released for IGN's Summer of Gaming, the first person parkour game has received positive responses. Because well-known developers like 3D Realms are working on the game, some fans have expressed excitement to see the new title.

Despite growing interest around the game, Ghostrunner's developers are offering more incentives to players. Currently, PC and PlayStation Plus users can receive a 20 percent discount on their purchase, and Xbox players can get a 10 percent discount. The developers also teased "exclusive access" to two cyber katanas. Although the game does support ray tracing for PC players, console players will not see these enhanced graphics unless Ghostrunner arrives on next-gen consoles.

Ghostrunner will be available October 27, 2020 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
