Baldur's Gate 3 Announces Twitch Integration Features
September 30 Early Access is almost here for Larian Studios' Baldur's Gate 3. Following up the epic CRPG that Divinity: Original Sin 2 brought to the digital table, expectations are sky high for a deep dive into Dungeons & Dragons. This time around, a new feature is coming into focus for Twitch streamers. If you're looking for a core RPG experience by yourself or with friends, don't worry, this isn't going to impact your game at all.
But for those on Twitch who are looking to involve the viewers in making the big decisions that change the game, viewers in chat can vote on dialogue choices as they occur in real time. In addition, they can interact with the overlay to check out character stats, inventory, and other critical information without pestering the streamer to spend time constantly checking bags and character sheets. These functions could help foster "community runs" that give viewers some more investment and agency as the giant adventure unfolds.
