Major expansion ‘Isle of Siptah’ headed for Conan Exiles next week

PC first, Consoles next year

Funcom has announced the biggest update for the popular survival-sandbox Conan Exiles. Isle of Siptah will launch very soon, on September 15th, to boot! Check out the announcement trailer here!

Conan Exiles is a surprise hit in the popular survival genre with the added bonus of being set in the mythical and fantastic world of the titular Conan universe. After a mediocre launch, the developer has improved the title into one of the best of its genre. As such, it’s not only other players you’ll have to be mindful about but beasts and creatures straight out of a fantasy world.

Soon, this enthralling experience is going to become substantially bigger with the Isle of Siptah expansion. Launching next week on PC via Steam Early Access, this expansion features a massive new island for explorers to discover.

Shipwrecked and alone, you arrive at the mystical Isle of Siptah. With nothing but the scraps on your back, you craft the tools you need to survive. At first a simple camp and a crude stone ax, with time a fortress and brutal greatswords made from hardened steel or obsidian. At the center of the island, a dark tower looms above the landscape. The violent storm that swirls around it seems to gather strength and unspeakable horrors stalk within. But your most dangerous foe may be the other castaways on the island. Resources are scarce, and the fight for survival will be brutal.

Veteran players and newcomers to Conan Exiles alike should be excited for the expansion since it starts players as a clean slate on the island where they have to fight new enemies and surmount new challenges.

If all this sounds intriguing, there’s more good news. Conan Exiles is getting a free weekend on Steam starting today. So, if you’re not certain whether the game is up to your liking, here’s your chance to try it for several days at no cost.

Isle of Siptah is priced at $19.99 and will come first to PC players. A console release for the expansion is slated to arrive alongside the full PC release in early 2021.
