Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled has been well supported since its release last year, with developer Beenox adding additional characters, courses, and more. However, following queries from the community, the team has confirmed that the title won't be getting any further content updates.
Its 'Final Grand Prix' update launched back in March, which souped up the in-game store with rotating events and items. Of course, it's also worth reiterating that Nitro-Fueled has had microtransactions since August 2019.
Still, this is the end of the road for Crash Team Racing. Beenox says that it's now moved on to other "incredible projects", and it's also helping out with Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time.
But if you're still playing Crash Team Racing, don't worry: all of the game's online features will remain active despite the lack of new content.

I need to get around to unlocking all the stuff from that latest update. Brilliant game, I haven't played a single game so much as this one in recent times. Though it did mess me up, staying up late on Sunday nights before work to maximise my wumpa time!
Its been adequately supported and not surprised they have moved onto new projects.
One of the few remakes that i have thoroughly enjoyed from my childhood.
I say, "Thank you, Beenox." You exceeded my expectations in multiple ways. I feel like I have received much more than the face value I spent. Congrats and I hope your competition takes note.

Could and should have been one of the games of the gen.
After positive reviews - shoe horned in MicroTransactions in a game they didn’t belong (even less than others) and made the game a stupid grindfest.
Never has a game so good been sabotaged by their own decisions quite as hilariously as this.
No doubt it made them coin but seriously disgusting.
At least NBA 2k and Madden have the rubbish VC and MT stuff straight off the bat and are honest about it.

That's fair enough. The base game was awesome as it was, and they've added loads of great stuff already. Plus it means they can shift resources to making an even better sequel.

@Stocksy You can still play the game without spending any cash, that's what I plan on doing even if it takes me longer due to the "supposed grind".

Compare to something like Monster Hunter which has received constant free updates for years and it’s chalk and cheese.
Will they remove the microtransactions though 🤔
The other day I 'FINALLY' :-/ got the last Coco skin(I just wanted all the Crash and Coco skins) God it was tedious trying to get each skin you wanted because the only way to get them was to log into the game each day and hope the skin was there to get(I used Coins I earned to by playing the game) Apart from that I LOVED the game and will play it still if I have people round for some Split-screen fun
Beenox have been absolutely amazing with their support for this game. One of the greatest kart racers ever.
I’m a bit gutted that they won’t be adding a custom cup option, similar to that in Mario Kart 8. Nevertheless, they did a fantastic job with all the post release content.
I stopped playing around April. All the GPs burned me out. Will play it tomorrow probably as there are probably about 20 or so items left in the shop for me.
