To help players with arguably one of the most critical sidequests of Wasteland 3, here is a quick guide on how to beat the Old Survivalist Bunker mission.

One of the side missions for the game requires players to rescue a character named Ironclad Cordite, who will become important in terms of gameplay for the ending of Wasteland 3. So to help players with recovering him, here is a complete breakdown of how to find him in the Old Survivalist Bunker area.

Wasteland 3 is massive in size, so to start, players can find the entrance to the Old Survivalist Bunker in the Patriarch's statue at Broadmoor Heights. There will be a group of adversaries to block the player's path that must be defeated.

Some simple strategies will be to use either the Hard Ass skill to demoralize them or Animal Whisperer 5 to summon a Cyborg Chicken to help in battle. The Hard Ass skill in Wasteland 3, if leveled up to 7, can be used to intimidate most of the opponents.

Once the adversaries have been defeated, there will be a side door that goes into a basement filled with enemy frogs. These frogs don't show weakness to weapons, so players might have better luck ignoring them and examining the containers in the area.

Once the frogs have ignored the player's presence, use a Ranger to repair the generator with Mechanics 6. After that, players will be able to communicate with Ironclad Cordite through a vent. By giving Ironclad Cordite ammo, he will agree to help the player in their quest in return for busting them out of here.

At the end of the conversation, backtrack down the hallway and enter the door to the right to enter the room; Ironclad Cordite will be inside. Once the short battle is over, players have three options to choose Ironclad Cordite's fate. They can either have him join their squad, shun them, or kill him. Once players make their decision, they should head back to the Old Survivalist Bunker's entrance and talk to the contact to end the quest.

It is up to the player on how they will proceed with their experience of the game. Ironclad Cordite is a good character, but if the player wants to get crazy, then more power to them. Part of the joy in the game is the variety of choices in Wasteland 3 that players are given to shape the story in their unique way.

Wasteland 3 is out now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
