One Overwatch streamer stumbled onto a very interesting Discord server. While many who play video games on stream use the voice chat service to communicate and play with friends, it seems that some gamers are using it to sabotage steamers.

Twitch streamer Arrge found a specific Discord server that hires "hitmen" to stream snipe popular players. Many of the players who were listed are popular Overwatch streamers on Twitch among others, with the list of priority streamers including TimTheTatman, Kephrii, and thebasti0nmain, while secondary targets include names like Holiwhirl and Violet.

The server is set up so that, after a player snipes a streamer and defeats them 10 times, they must post screenshots of the player's defeat before they can be paid. These stream snipers are then paid $20, but the stream sniper who does the most to disrupt the Twitch streamers during the month of August will receive an extra $20, a three month Spotify premium membership gift card, three new Overwatch accounts as well as a Diamond ranked DPS account.

Arrge posted screenshots of this server to Twitter, and he also added that he would be willing to pay a three month Spotify premium membership gift card for more screenshots. Holiwhirl replied to the information saying that it is "wild" that players would do this for such small earnings.

Many Twitch streamers have had issues with stream snipers, and it has become a real issue within the streaming community. Hopefully, these players will move on and do something better with their skills than cause trouble for people on purpose.

Overwatch is available on the Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
