Horizon: Zero Dawn has launched on PC, three years after it was first released to the PlayStation 4 back in August 2017. Of course, the arrival of Horizon: Zero Dawn to the PC will definitely widen its fanbase, which will be beneficial for developer Guerrilla Games once the sequel called Horizon: Forbidden West releases sometime in the future.

Now, PC players who still haven't purchase Horizon: Zero Dawn would be happy to know that Green Man Gaming is currently offering a discount for the game at launch. Players can purchase Horizon: Zero Dawn for $44.99, which is 10% off the game's original price of $49.99. It is worth noting that Green Man Gaming will initially display the game's full price on its website. However, for players to take advantage of the deal, they must simply input the code AUGUST10 upon checkout, and GMG will automatically deduct 10% off from their purchase. This code will only be available until August 14, so players interested should take advantage now while the deal is still available.

To those players who are not familiar with Horizon: Zero Dawn, the game is set in the 31st century, where humans started living in scattered tribal-like groups with limited access to technology. Players take the role of Aloy who was cast out of the Nora tribe at birth. As a child, Aloy finds a Focus, which is a small augmented device that provides her with perceptive abilities. After coming of age, Aloy's mission is to participate in a competition called the Proving to earn her place back in the tribe.

Shortly after the game's release on the PlayStation 4, Horizon: Zero Dawn received favorable reviews from players and critics due to the game's immersive story and well fleshed out characters. During Sony's big PlayStation 5 reveal event last June, Guerrilla Games announced Horizon: Forbidden West, which will serve as a direct sequel to Horizon: Zero Dawn. At the moment, no release date has been revealed so far, but it appears that Horizon: Forbidden West will be released first for the PlayStation 5.

Meanwhile, mere hours after Horizon: Zero Dawn released on the PC, some players already reported lag issues. Of course, this is somewhat expected for new games, especially those that have been ported from a different platform. However, it appears now that the lag issues are just minor given that several players have already remedied these Zero Dawn PC issues with some easy fixes.

Horizon: Zero Dawn is now available for the PS4 and PC.
