A costume designer from Bristol, UK has created an impressive jacket based on Cyberpunk 2077. The jacket, which looks exactly like the one that is worn by the protagonist in the game, took about five months to pull together and is finally complete.

The inspiration for this jacket comes from the popular game Cyberpunk 2077, a retro-future game that shares the same name of the science fiction sub-genre it is based on. It has been nearly seven years since the game was first announced and it seems this jacket’s arrival is just in time for the game’s release in November.

The designer goes by the name Valentine Costumes on social media, and he is a costume maker and international cosplay guest. He made a complete detailed account of his jacket-making journey on various social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitch and announced on Twitter today that his jacket is now “fully complete, fully customizable, fully satisfied.” Valentine initially expected the process of creating the jacket from scratch to take him four weeks, but his desire to master every detail took him a long five months and 400 hours instead.

The jacket comes fully loaded with a jammer on the left shoulder, LED laser lit collar with v1 and v2 collar knobs, customized zipper tracks, patchwork, hand-painted Cyberpunk Oni, and much more detail to make it look exactly like the one in the game. And just like Cyberpunk lets players customize characters in the game, now that this extremely detailed jacket has been created, players can look like their actual character in real life.

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games for the fall of 2020, and Valentine’s hard work has accomplished something many players want. His followers all admire his work on the jacket and especially his attention to detail. Valentine’s record of the journey to create this work of art has inspired others to also try making their own.

It is no secret that Cyberpunk 2077 will have some awesome graphics and designs as many of the characters have their own unique style and appearances, like the character Evelyn Parker and her weaponized fingernails. But how far cosplayers will go with the designs in the game is yet to be seen. If Valentine's work is any indication of what fans can expect once the game finally releases, there may be a ton more impressive work on the way.

Cyberpunk 2077 releases November 19, 2020 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
