The new Season 5 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone trailer have confirmed tons of expected content while still slipping some surprises along the way. Fans noticed extra guns, secret operators, and new Modern Warfare multiplayer maps scattered across the entire video.

One epic moment that has stood out to fans is a unique Season 5 operator/skin wielding a bird as a weapon. The possibility of a new epic raven themed finisher has driven the community excitement to a whole new high. After the massive success of the Modern Warfare dog finisher, it will be amazing to let loose the birds of war.

The operator clips onto a wire and zooms up to the top of a nearby building. Dressed in a suit and wearing a gold mask he disembarks the impromptu elevator and turns towards the unsuspecting sniper. Holding his arm out fans can clearly see a large black bird mounted atop his golden glove. Facing it towards the sniper he sends the bird flying where it promptly assaults the unsuspecting player. Although the video does not show the player die, fans can assume that the bird went for the face with its talon, beak, and ferocity.

This is a small moment mixed in the two-minute trailer but it has massive potential for new finishers. The addition of a bird model will hopefully perform better than the Warzone dog gun glitch, but fans are excited at the chance for more animal carnage on the battlefield.

No one is sure who the golden operator shown in the video is. The outfit is outside that of Modern Warfare's Shadow Company and he has almost a villainous appearance. It will be interesting to see if this character becomes an important part of the Modern Warfare Season 5 content. At the minimum, fans are going to want to know his pet raven's name.

The only concern that fans may have about this animation is the time involved with performing it. Some animations, like Captain Price's famous execution, are short and to the point, while others tend to linger. The longer the animation cycle is the less chance of it succeeding as anything from stray files to delayed explosives could end the animation and save the victim. From the trailer, this animation appears to be quick and to the point but it is still unclear how a Raven could cause an instant death effect even on a distracted target.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
