Hi there! Do you love some survival sandboxes developed by Studio Wildcard and Grapeshot Games? Then you’re in the right place as both ARK: Survival Evolved and Atlas are in the news. Let’s get to it.

In ARK’s latest community crunch, players are given the rather unhappy news that Genesis part 2’s release is being shuffled to some time in March 2021 as a result of work-from-home challenges. “We are passionate about delivering something genuinely special, memorable, and suitably epic. This additional time allows us to ensure a better and unique experience and is well worth the investment,” promises the post.

The rest of the newsletter details a number of balance adjustments that were added at the end of July, plans for an October TLC pass that will overhaul two classic creatures, and the release of the Crystal Isles DLC for free on all consoles among other updates.

As for the piratical sandbox of Atlas, the devs have answered several player questions that run the gamut from optimization work to adding new ships to making mounts less of a focus. Several answers point out that ocean content improvements are a prime focus for the devs, including possibly increasing ship structure limits and putting creature level adjustments on the back burner for now.
