From the studio that brought players NoManSky, Last Campfire is a new adventure platformer coming to the Nintendo Switch. Yes, in Sky: Children of the light players can fly with friends and other players around the world. Players who gravitate towards games that promise continuous expansion and seasonal events would also want to pick this Switch release up. Players should expect great music and an emphasis on nurturing in-game friendships. Take your friends and explore ancient treasures this summer, and even save a few spirits while you fly.

8 Summer in maria

Summer in Maria is a colorful simulation game brought to players by the developers at Chibig. You play as a girl named Koa, who explores the island of Maria to unlock its mysteries. Players will get to farm on the beautiful island and get to know the unique natives while helping me fight against an exploitive corporation. Players who are fawned of classic titles like Harvest Moon and Stardew valley would enjoy the similar objectives and playstyle found in Summer in Maria. Grab it now for Nintendo Switch or Steam; released June 16th.

7 Merchant of the Skies

Players looking for a slow-paced game that gives them a chance to build a company from the ground up, and fly ships should try out Merchant of the Skies. Coldwild Games brings players a strategy game in a pleasing pixel art style. Players will also enjoy being able to design a mansion with the money their savvy trading skills earned them. 6 Dex

Set in a gritty cyberspace world, Dex is the heroine and decider of her mysterious destiny. Dreadlock games bring players a real time combat arcade style with an intriguing storyline. Players who like Neo-Noir set worlds and nonlinear storyline would enjoy a game like Dex. Players can also play the game in different play styles, whether it be stealth, hacker, or open combat. Customization of equipment and cybernetic implants is also a draw to this game. Players can pick up this Metroidvania style game for the Nintendo Switch July 24th.

5 CARRION

To add to the slowly growing collection of horror games for the Switch, Phobia Game Studio decided to bless players with Carrion. A reverse horror game where the player plays as a Vile creature from unknown origins. Players will rain destruction down on a prison and upgrade their skills to kill, consume, and even control the unsuspecting prison guards. This game is a very grotesque pixel style game for the Switch, so players who are keen to the horror genre would love to pick this little gem up. Unleash terror with Carrion on the Nintendo Switch July 23rd.

4 Interrogation

Something a little different but that may pique the interest of players who love to pick up conversational puzzle games is Interrogation, a noir-style detective game. Players are tasked to lead their police department in taking down a threatening terrorist group. Critique Gaming has developed complex conversation simulation players will interact with. This switch release should be immersive and heavy psychological experience, similar to “The War of Mine” and Paper Please. Pick up this game for the Nintendo Switch and hang on for an intense story, July 28th.

3 Panzer Paladin

Players who are avid retro gamers would enjoy the trip down memory lane with Panzer Paladin. The art style Tribute Games chose for this action platformer is reminiscent of games like Megaman and Sonic the Hedgehog. Pixel art has always been the popular route for indie games, and it’s what attracts most players when done in unique styles. Panzer Paladin's world is vibrant, and the playstyle looks nostalgic. 2 Heroes of Hammerwatch

Some of the games mentioned are being brought to the Switch after being released on platforms like Steam. This is what most Switch players look forward too; their favorite games being ported over like Heroes of Hammerwatch. This action RPG will interest the avid dungeon crawler and you can bring your friends along for the adventure. Enhance your skills, pick up weapons, and battle mobs on top of mobs by yourself or with your friend in cooperative play. All the dungeons are procedurally generated and if you're a player who likes a challenge, the developers at Crackshell have sprinkled puzzles throughout the world for you. Heroes of Hammerwatch come to Nintendo Switch on July 30th.

1 Ageless

Ageless is a charismatic pixel platformer full of puzzles and interesting mechanics. Players will help Kiara wield her new abilities the lets her control the age of flora and fauna. The team at One More Dream Studios boast Ageless will bring an emotional story, where players will have to make tough choices. The mechanics involved in the boss fights and the environmental puzzles will intrigue players who were also drawn to games like "Dandara" and "Shovel Knight." Help guided Kiara when she comes to Nintendo Switch July 28th.

There are lots of small games coming to the switch. Some are being ported over some are brand new. Either way, get excited to have these titles and more on your TVs and in your back pocket!
