The only thing players need to gain access to this game for free is a Ubisoft account, which just so happens to also be free. Of course, in order to play it, fans will have to download Uplay and launch the game through there.

Valiant Hearts: The Great War was critically acclaimed when it released back in 2014, as it was praised for its evocative story, engaging puzzle-like gameplay, and emotional moments. Fans of the game have gone right back to praising it now that it is free in an attempt to convince those that may have skipped over it previously to give it a try.

In order to get the free game, players will need to visit the Chinese Uplay store, as the free gift is only available in that store. Thankfully, Ubisoft doesn't block players from using stores outside of their region, and the game still comes with English options, so there is no issue with taking this approach.
