Destiny 2 fans have proven themselves to be creative and passionate members of their community time and time again, with many artists creating fan art and cosplay based on Bungie's sci-fi shooter. One thing many players like to see is fan-favorite weapons being 3D-printed or created by talented people, and this replica of the Ruinous Effigy exotic trace rifle is no exception.

Reddit user u/Joker_Bingo has shared images of his first woodworking project, displaying progress from carving out the Destiny 2 weapon from a plank of wood to 3D printing the "pinecone piece" on the front of the gun. With 6.4 thousand upvotes on his post, fellow r/DestinyTheGame users seem to love this work, and with such a unique creation it is hard not to appreciate this lovingly-created replica.

This follows many other users creating exotic weapons from the game, including one user creating the Sunshot hand cannon with a 3D printer back in 2018. The passionate community behind the game have shown their love for the game no matter what state Destiny 2 is in, and often brings the player base together to enjoy unique art designs.

The ongoing Season of Arrivals in Destiny 2 brought this unique exotic weapon into player's hands a couple of weeks ago, with the gun introducing interesting new mechanics. The Ruinous Effigy exotic weapon takes advantage of its exotic perk 'Transmutation,' where final blows "collapse victims into Void Transmutation spheres" that can be picked up and used as a weapons in turn. This weapon has been praised by fans for its fun gameplay, with many calling it the most unique weapon currently in the game.

With the upcoming Solstice of Heroes event bringing flashy new armor to Destiny 2 later in August, along with an exotic variant of The Traveller's Chosen coming soon, fans have lots to look forward to. This is especially important as the Beyond Light expansion has been delayed until November, and according to Bungie's updated calendar, the only addition to the season is the Festival of the Lost event, which has always been controversial for players in its microtransaction additions. Hopefully, there will be more interesting creations like u/Joker_Bingo's to tide fans over until the arrival of the new expansion.

Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions in development.
