World of Warcraft: Shadowlands appears to have PvP world quests returning once more

It's on my list of 'things you did wrong,' yeah.

In World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, players are wandering in the realm of the dead and dealing with afterlife issues. A perfect time to find members of the opposite faction and kill them, right? No? Well, in that case, why not just kill anyone else? Yes, it appears that the world quests related to PvP are returning in Shadowlands, with the Trials of Zo’Sorg flagging you as hostile to everyone if you enter the appropriate region with War Mode turned on.

For those of you who have forgotten or just never cared much, Legion featured a number of world quests centered chiefly around towers in which you could fight either opposite-faction NPCs or other players to complete your objectives. They were a source of conflict and Marks of Honor. Why they were not included in an expansion all about fighting the opposite faction is something of an open question, but it does look like they’re coming around once more when players enter the realm of the dead, at least.
