On August 11th, Final Fantasy XIV players will face the end of the Shadowbringers MSQ arc that will decide the fate of a world. But on August 12th, an even greater threat will emerge. Sharks. Sharks that can only be faced with the power of dancing and skimpy beachwear. Yes, this year’s Moonfire Faire starts up the day after the patch, and it appears to be all about dealing with an infestation of sharks off the coast of La Noscea.

Naturally, this means rewards, which includes a new set of beachwear for both genders, a new dancing emote, and a new piece of outdoor furnishing; there’s also a promise that some old rewards can be purchased at the vendor on-site as well. Obviously, the actual mechanics of the event aren’t known just yet, but given as the event requires level 30 it’s a safe bet that it’ll involve a jaunt out to Costa del Sol once more. So get ready for a shark-based dance-off.
