Destiny 2 outlines the details behind its inclusion on Xbox Game Pass

Sure. All right. Nice. Fine.

The big news for Destiny 2 this week was one that will have mixed appeal for existing players because the free-to-play title is coming to Xbox Game Pass in the fall. What does that mean? Well, the FAQ hopefully lays it all out for fans. The good news is that it doesn’t mean any sort of content exclusivity, timed or otherwise. Game Pass subscribers will get DLC access for free when it goes live, assuming you can call it “free” when someone is, again, paying a subscription price for regular access.

If you’ve already pre-ordered, meanwhile, the big thing you can look forward to is not having to pay for the content if any of it gets taken off of the game pass in the future. Players will also not be receiving seasonal content for free with the Game Pass subscription. Ultimately, it seems like more of a value for people who aren’t playing the game but want to check it out just the same. But hey, Beyond Light trailer!
