A complete overhaul mod for Divinity: Original Sin 2 named Divinity Unleashed has received a massive update. The Divinity Unleashed mod provides robust changes to the base Divinity: Original Sin 2 game in response to community feedback, but Divinity Unleashed 2.0 goes even further, with a complete armor overhaul and dozens of balance changes.

The original Divinity Unleashed mod was released this past April and made huge changes to the game. It simplified Status Effects, preventing them from being resisted by armor and all but removing turn losses. Builds have been rebalanced so that all classes are capable, but no build breaks the game. Also, new mechanics like cooldown reduction have been added to keep combat fast and exciting.

The 2.0 version of Divinity Unleashed focuses on armor. It's no longer a simple separate HP bar, instead, armor now acts as a static damage reduction, with a cap of 50% that shrinks with each consecutive hit. Dozens of balance changes have also been made in response to community feedback, as well as fixes to ensure Unleashed is fully compatible with other mods.

Divinity Unleashed can be downloaded and installed via both the Steam Workshop and Nexus Mods, where it's entirely free of charge. It's an excellent opportunity to revisit Divinity: Original Sin 2, especially since Larian recently put out a free update with new content to try out.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
