As Keanu Reeves' career has had a massive resurgence in the last few years thanks to films like the John Wick trilogy, multiple projects he worked on in the past have also come back into the limelight. For instance, the recently-delayed Bill and Ted Face the Music is coming out in late August, and apparently director Francis Lawrence has an interest in bringing back the 2005 film Constantine — something Reeves is also on board for.

In part of an interview published today by SlashFilm, Lawrence said there was an interest in making a sequel with a more responsible production budget back when the first film was in development. He said that Reeves would "love to do another Constantine" based on recent conversations, as would producer Akiva Goldsman. However, they are not sure how the rights would pan out with the character now under the purview of DC Comics.

The original movie, starring Reeves, Tilda Swinton, and Shia LaBeouf among others, was a decent success grossing $230,884,728 worldwide on its $100 million budget according to Box Office Mojo. Since then, the character has appeared in a 2014 live action series portrayed by Matt Ryan, who went on to join Legends of Tomorrow as part of the CW Arrowverse.

Though it seems unlikely for a second Constantine movie to come to fruition on account of the character's current position, it would be fun to see. In the meantime, Reeves is set to star as Johnny Silverhand in CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077.
