A new trailer for the Android and iOS free-to-play RPG Tom Clancy's Elite Squad was revealed during Ubisoft Forward today, but it is not the only game in the Tom Clancy series that has been in the spotlight. On July 15, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Breakpoint will receive its Title Update 2.0.1, which will set the stage for a live event called "Resistance," according to Xbox Wire.

The update's major selling point is that it will add customizable AI teammates for solo players to work with, a feature which was originally supposed to launch in June but was delayed due to Ubisoft's work from home measures enacted because of the coronavirus pandemic. Ubisoft Editorial Director Giancarlo Varanini, who wrote the Xbox Wire post, also details the live event starting on July 16 that will offer players up to 14 exclusive rewards, including gear.

"Resistance" will have players destroy Sentinel outposts and convoys to save prisoners in a variety of missions, each of which will change the in-game world's landscape and create additional scenarios for faction warfare across Auroa. Developers like Epic Games have also tackled live events, with Fortnite's Doomsday Device event leading to its map flooding to kick off Chapter 2, Season 3 of the battle royale.

Xbox Live Gold members who are interested in trying Ghost Recon: Breakpoint during its live event after it updates to add AI teammates will be able to play it for free the weekend of the 16th, according to Xbox Wire.

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
