Getting downed in Call of Duty: Warzone is no fun, as eammates fend off enemy assaults while the downed player simply limps away makes many fans crave additional options. A new Warzone glitch might provide the answers as players find themselves in a less vulnerable position when downed.

Glitches are common within Warzone, with it quickly becoming a daily news topic for the game's community. The only problem is when a glitch becomes an exploit after players abuse the technical error, and although hard to perform, a glitch that allows players to fire while downed has a chance of becoming a very costly exploit.

This glitch only appears when a player interacts with Buy Stations within Warzone. In the video demonstrating the glitch, the player gets downed immediately after buying a cluster strike. They find themselves crawling with the cluster strike aimed and armed. Once fired off, the player immediately pulls a gun, and although they are crawling and downed, they can still fire back at enemy players. Although the gas killed the player in the video, it does not change the fact that they were somehow down and able to fire at the same time.

The best guess from the Warzone community is that the pick-up animation bugged causing the model to default into the gun ready state. This would cause players to be able to aim as if they were not downed, while still crawling to safety. Although it is unclear to what extent a player can defend themselves, the fact that it is possible goes against some of the core mechanics in Warzone.

Fans have tracked the glitch's appearance back to day one of the game's launch. Although it rarely occurs, it can still be disruptive to a match as downed players can finish off their aggressors and possibly crawl to safety. One Reddit user claims that this is the first step to the invincibility glitch that plagued the game several patches ago.

Many fans say that the fact that this glitch is still in the game is unacceptable. With every patch, update, and season in Warzone, the developer has fixed tons of small errors, and many have a hard time believing this simply fell through the cracks. While there is a fraction of the community that hopes this could be a hint at a future mechanic, the chances they are right are fairly slim. The developers are at least aware of the issue, so Warzone fans should be able to expect a fix in the near future.
