10 Dissidia Final Fantasy NT Free Edition
Dissidia NT's free edition engages players in 3v3 fighting matches. This game from Final Fantasy has some interesting fighting mechanics. Players don't just simply race to beat the other senseless, as there are two types of attacks: Bravery and HP attacks. Bravery attacks do no damage but charge up the damage HP attacks can do.
There are over 20 Final Fantasy characters to play as, each with their own unique abilities. In the free version of the game, however, players may only select from a weekly lineup of characters. The story mode is also locked for free users. Nonetheless, the game is insanely back-and-forth given its complex mechanics and huge learning curve.
9 Genesis
Genesis is a controller exclusive MOBA game with futuristic elements. Players may choose from a selection of 30 heroes to play as, which consist of gods, creatures, and battle-hardened men. Dauntless is a co-op RPG game that groups four players together to fight off huge beasts. The game features elemental gear that players may mix and match to fight off specific elemental monsters. Each beast has its own fighting pattern, with higher-level beasts incorporating more unpredictable attacks.
Like Dark Souls, players may utilize their attacks and dodges to slay the beasts. There's also a wide selection of weapons in the game, each with their own strengths and uses. The four players may mix and match roles to determine the best approach for each beast. Dauntless' cartoony art style and majestic creatures are two of the game's unique hooks, catering even to budding gamers.
4 Apex Legends
Apex Legends' battle royale formula is unlike any other. The game prides itself on crafting its mechanics around three-player squads. Players may select from over 10 playable champions, each with their own role and personality. This allows for a lot of team compositions and strategy building.

3 Call Of Duty: Warzone

Call Of Duty's battle royale takes integral elements from its action-packed franchise and integrated them into a 150-player free-for-all. This battle royale is fast-paced and features various guns that feel hard-hitting.
Instead of running miles across grassy fields, the battleground has enough urban jungle to accommodate long-range and close-quarter combat. 2 Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 2
Battle Operation 2 is a PS4 exclusive game based on the Gundam series. Players take control of Gundam mechs from across the franchise and engage in giant mech battles. The attacks are slow and clunky, but it gives the game that gargantuan battle feel.
Players take control of the pilots as well, who have their own combat and functionality outside of the mech. Just like in the series, the battles may take place on land or in space. Though the graphics leave much to be desired, the combat and gameplay involved in Battle Operation 2 are enjoyably complex.
1 Switchblade
Switchblade is a cross between Rocket League and Smite. The game is a team-based MOBA game featuring different weaponized vehicles. Matches are full of vehicular havoc, mayhem, and destruction across a wide battle arena. The MOBA elements of the game allow for much use of the various weaponized vehicles, making it one of the most unique tower-crushers out there.
The vehicles are varied too with different speeds, armor, weapons, stats, and abilities. With the 5v5 format, a lot of different team compositions can be strategized. Though not as popular as the previous entries on this list, Switchblade's demolition derby approach to the MOBA genre makes it one of the most recklessly enjoyable free to play PS4 games.
