NICKMERCS is a professional Call of Duty: Warzone player, but lately he's been sharing his secrets with the masses. Recently, NICKMERCS revealed his OP MP5 loadout, but as the target of many recent nerfs, some fans are looking elsewhere for a good submachine gun. Enter this powerful AUG build.

As part of FaZe Clan, an esports team, NICKMERCS has proven his skill in Call of Duty: Warzone countless times. As such, it is no surprise that many of his weapon builds tend to focus on the same or similar stats, as these are the ones which benefit skilled players the most.

This AUG build places emphasis on the Accuracy, Control, and Range stats, and is meant to provide an optimal experience whether in close or long range encounters. Typically speaking, players struggle to find a balance between these two categories of weapons, so knocking both out with one slot frees up the second weapon for other uses.

Starting with the AUG, players wanting to replicate NICKMERCS' build will need to equip the Monolithic Suppressor Muzzle, which increases range while also aiding in stealth gameplay. The 407mm Extended Barrel attachment provides a great boost to control and accuracy, while the Tac Laser further improves control. The Commando Foregrip effectively perfects the weapon's control resulting in almost no recoil, and the 5.56 NATO 60-Round Drums helps bump up the damage to a more amicable level and further increases the already impressive range of the weapon.

NICKMERCS' video above explains all of this in much greater detail, and even shows it in action. Using this build, he is able to rack up 23 kills in a match and secure victory while being the last man standing on his squad, no doubt in part to his optimized weapon. Of course, it should be said that a weapon doesn't make or break a game or a player, ultimately it will come down to skill and reaction time, but in competitive gameplay like Call of Duty: Warzone, players should take any edge they can get. In the end, a better weapon may be the deciding factor between two equally skilled players.

Most notably, this build is great independent from perks, meaning players can fill out their own perk slots with whatever fits their preferences. As usual, Ghost is always a great option for the end game stages, but E.O.D. or any of the other perks are also great options.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
