It has been nearly four months since Square Enix released its remake of the classic game, Final Fantasy 7. Shortly after its launch last March, Final Fantasy 7 Remake received mostly positive reviews from both players and critics, thanks to its faithfulness to the original game while still introducing new storylines and gameplay mechanics.

Now, for those who still haven't played Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Walmart is currently offering a good deal for the game. Players can purchase Final Fantasy 7 Remake at Walmart for $49.94 or 17% cheaper than its current list price of $59.99. Although Walmart's discount is not much, it is worth remembering that Final Fantasy 7 Remake is only a few months old, and Walmart's price is one of the cheapest for the game right now.

In a recent interview with The Guardian, Square Enix's Naoki Hamaguchi and Yoshinori Kitase revealed that Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 is currently in active development, despite the ongoing pandemic. Kitase also revealed that the studio is working on the sequel remotely, given the strict work from home measures that are being implemented across the world. Despite this, Kitase reassured fans that while the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the studio's efficiency, they are optimistic that there won't be heavy consequences in the long-term.
