Red Dead Redemption 2 allows players to experience the Wild West as an outlaw with the backdrop of deeper ethical and moral questions. As a result, Red Dead Redemption 2 has been critically acclaimed and two years since its release many are still enjoying the game. A player has now revealed a funny mistake that happened in an already humorous side mission and commenters are split on whether the player has ruined the quest.

The western genre is known for saloon shoot outs, huge landscapes, and of course crime. Red Dead Redemption 2 managed to deliver this with an immersive story centered around Arthur Morgan as well as online gameplay that has given the game additional life. Many have been concerned that online content is slowing in Red Dead Redemption 2, yet this recent post from a player there are plenty of ways to experience the game even if they are not what was initially intended.

The drunk duelist challenges players randomly when they are in Smithfield's Saloon and players can choose whether to decline or accept the challenge. Most players accept the challenge as it would lead to more action and just after this point, Reddit user kronos227 made a fatal mistake. Like many players, the poster of the video tried to run to the challenge and ended up pushing over the drunk. As a result, the drunk challenger was unconscious on the floor and the player was only left with the option of whether to loot in a hilarious unceremonious conclusion to the quest. Interestingly this quest in Red Dead Redemption 2 results in the drunk passing out just as the duel is about to begin, so it seems the player beat the game to the punch.

The QuickDraw gameplay in Red Dead Redemption 2 is incredibly fun and takes a bit of skill. However, in this instance, the player would have not experienced the exciting aspect of gameplay no matter what they did. Yet some players have claimed have commented that the mission "is way funnier if it goes normally", and this will largely be dependent on player preference. Either way, players can make decisions in the game that have a very immediate and sometimes unintended impact.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is still keeping players entertained and many will hope that the game continues to receive updates to increase its longevity. It is unclear what updates will come to Red Dead Redemption 2 but many players who have enjoyed side quests like this one will hope to get more story-based content.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
