The Dread X Collection, a collaboration between indie horror game developers, is coming back for a second volume. Like with the original Dread X Collection, indie devs will each be creating their own small horror game for inclusion. But with Dread X Collection Vol. 2, the collection will be bigger, better, and much more Lovecraftian overall.

But the theme of Dread X Collection Vol. 2 isn't just "Lovecraftian," but rather "Lovecrafting." The Lovecraft idea of cosmic horror is obvious, but the crafting aspect is up to the creators to decide. Whether that means something inspired by Minecraft, a survival adventure game, or something else is for players to discover on their own.

For Dread X Collection Vol. 2, 12 different developers will each be contributing their own game, as opposed to 10 titles from the first bundle. Developers include David Szymanski, New Blood's creative director and the maker of Dusk, Newblood dev John Szymanski as well, Immure developer Wither Studios, SCP: Blackout dev Mahelyk, and many more.

Finally, the devs for Dread X Collection Vol. 2 are being given extra time to put together their projects this time around. The first volume tasked devs to finish in 7 days. Vol. 2 has been stretched to 10 days, which should result in even better horror games than last time. And fans won't have to wait too long to play the 12 new horror games, either.

Dread X Collection Vol. 2 releases in August on Steam and Itch.io for PC.
