Not to be left out, Guild Wars 2 is seeing its own host of balance changes arriving in an upcoming July 7 patch.
Of note, the patch makes mention of Elementalist, Engineer, Guardian, Mesmer, Necromancer, Ranger, Revenant, Thief, and Warrior. Yeah…it’s a lot. For example, here’s what the team says their approach was for Elementalist,
“In this balance iteration, we're looking at the elementalist's grandmaster Fire traits. Persisting Flames is expected to push into more of a damage-over-time role, while Pyromancer's Puissance is getting a few changes focused toward group support and burst damage. With these changes, we are looking to also slightly reduce burning damage output in order to keep overall damage from going significantly higher in raid rotations.”
For the other Professions, the team revisited several of the skills on hand and adjusted them accordingly to either reduce, increase, or adjust the potency of each skill. It’s a rather comprehensive balance patch, and you can read the whole thing over on the forums here.
