The Daily Grind: Which MMORPG do you wish were on mobile?

Remember way back in the day when Guild Wars 2 was supposed to get a mobile version? It never did, and whatever mobile toy ArenaNet was working on before the mass layoffs in 2019 is probably toast, but I still think both GW2 and its older sibling – maybe even especially its older sibling – would’ve worked so well with it. I’m imagining a slick UI for hero parties in classic Guild Wars 1. The game was already so automation-friendly that apart from fussing with inventories, it seems like it’d translate well and I would love to have this on my mobile device.

On the other hand, several of my favorite MMOs simply wouldn’t work. Star Wars Galaxies? Haha, no.

Yes, this is all pie-in-the-sky, but it’s still fun. Which MMORPG do you wish were on mobile?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
