Even though Ubisoft has its own E3 style digital event later this month, the company isn't wasting any time revealing new games. Earlier this week, new information surfaced online regarding the company's attempt to dive into the battle royale genre with a game called Hyper Scape. Only a few days later, the game is not only real but it has already rocketed up the Twitch charts.

Pulling what some would called an Apex Legends style reveal, Hyper Scape seemingly appeared out of nowhere and thanks to being featured on major Twitch channels, the game has already massed a lot of popularity. In fact, gameplay appeared online first before Ubisoft had even had a chance to formally announce it outright.

However, following the surge of views on Twitch, the reveal trailer for Hyper Scape has finally arrived and provides not only a look at the game itself but additional details behind it. Set in a virtual city called Neo Arcadia, 100 players battle it out in seven distinct districts. Better yet, this sprawling city has a ton of landmarks and buildings, including the famed Notre Dame cathedral in an obvious tribute, that can be utilized and change how a firefight plays out.

The trailer also shows off player hacking abilities which range from super jumping to placing walls, and more. The battle royale ring, known as Blight, dissolves the Paris-inspired map in varying patterns and the description also promises effect cards that can be played at random by the AI Game Master during the match. The biggest change comes as the match nears the end as the final few players enter the showdown mode where multiple paths to victory open up. Either eliminate everyone or attempt to grab the crown before everyone left alive.

Unfortunately, the game isn't technically officially launched at this moment. This sudden appearance on the PC is considered part of a technical test and for those who want to try out the stylish FPS action battle royale, they'll need to register online or tune into streamers playing the game on Twitch. After linking the Twitch and Ubisoft Accounts together, viewers are eligible to receive a random chance at gaining access to the tech test. It's currently unknown what further plans Ubisoft has for the game, but with its digital event coming in a few weeks, fans will likely find out much more then.

Hyper Scape is in development for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
