Albion Online announces an August release window for the Rise of Avalon update

While game director Robin Henkys already provided a bit of a primer, what he wasn’t able to provide was a launch window for Albion Online’s next big update. That’s changed, however, with an announcement post touting the Rise of Avalon arriving in August.

Just in case you missed the earlier report, this update will introduce Avalonian Weapons that are promising “tremendous shifts” in gameplay, Avalon Roads that will let players build Hideouts in new areas and travel to different linked areas in the game world, and the new single-player Corrupted Dungeons feature, which is mostly a PvE experience but can be invaded by one other player because there has to be PvP I guess.

The announcement once more promises a series of dev talks detailing these features in the coming weeks, but there’s a teaser trailer for the update beforehand. Enjoy the sizzle after the cut.
