Fortnite may be most famous for its insanely popular battle royale mode, but the title appears to have become an ideal place for musicians to hold accessible live concerts for players to attend. April's Travis Scott concert broke records for how popular it was, which is even more impressive as it was during a time when players were becoming disillusioned with the game.

Epic Games introduced a combat-free Party Royale island solely for events such as this and it's to be a home for not just music concerts, but for movie screenings too.

Today, Epic Games announced that Fortnite will be hosting its first ever movie night this Friday on June 26th, with one of three Christopher Nolan movies to be shown in different countries.

The United States, for example, will get to watch the mind-boggling Inception, a film which, even nearly 10 years since its release, has still left many of us struggling to understand it and trying to dissect its mysteries.

United Kingdom residents can instead enjoy The Prestige, which is considered by some to be one of Nolan's most underrated films. It centers around two rival magicians, played by Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman, who become obsessed with trying to outdo the other. It also has David Bowie playing real-life inventor Nikola Tesla.

Lastly, countries such as France will get to watch what is still considered to be one of the best superhero movies of all time, Batman Begins, the first entry in Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. The full list of participating countries and what films they'll receive can be found on Epic's website.

Fortnite Season 3 Mythical Weapons

It's not too surprising that Nolan's work would be used for Fortnite's first movie night. After all, a trailer for his next movie, Tenet, made its debut in Fortnite. It was believed that the movie itself would be first screened in Fortnite too, but it's possible that what was being referred to was this upcoming event.

Many movies have skipped opening in cinemas at the moment and gone straight to streaming services, so it's arguably more likely that Tenet will do the same.

As for the game itself, Season 3 recently kicked off and flooded most of the map, which has most likely changed how people play the game and has included a number of new Mythic weapons for players to become acquainted with.

Fortnite is available on Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
