Pokémon might not be the greatest anime ever made, but it is undoubtedly the most endorsed one. Also, there is no mascot in any anime as famous as Pikachu. What makes Pokémon so accessible is its fanbase and its dedication to the series and the games. The scale of Pokémon is so big that the entirety of it is split into generations. Since the original 151 in Generation I, many new Pokémon have made the way into the series.

To the point that only a superfan will be able to remember all of their names now. Fighting-type Pokémon have also seen a massive bump in numbers. And, as with any other series. The more the content, the larger will be the number of questions related to it.

10 Why Are Ghost Types Effective Against Fight-Type Pokémon?

A Pokémon battle is like the game of rock, paper, scissors. Water extinguishes fire, and the fire burns grass, grass decays the ground. Pretty straight forward and easy to understand. But there are some questionable things when it comes to the Fighting-type Pokémon

Nobody on their best day can speculate that the weakness of a Fighting-type Pokémon would be a Ghost-type Pokémon. But the fact of the matter is, it is. Which brings up the question, why is it so effective? It could be that a spirit can not be hurt, but there is no concrete evidence.

9 Why do Conkeldurr Carry Concrete Pillars?

Sometimes the design of a Pokémon is very much confusing, and there are many examples of this. But being specific to the Fighting-type, let us talk about Conkeldurr. It's a big bulky Pokémon evolved from Gurdurr, who is an evolution of Timburr.

In its basic stage, it holds a huge piece of wood, which is still understandable as the Pokémon looks like an animal who wants to collect wood, but the evolutions are just over-the-top. Because it's Gurdurr is holding a large piece of metallic slab called a girder. And as Conkeldurr, it is holding two concrete pillars. Why?

8 How Is Keldeo A Fighting Pokémon?

member of the swords of justice.

When we look at Pokémon like Hitmonlee or Machop, they have a stance, look, and demeanor that shines with the aura of being a Fighting-type. But what is up Keldeo? For starters, it is a Water-/Fighting-type Pokémon. In its resolute form, it has a sword coming out of the head. But all of that is okay if it was a normal or legendary type Pokémon.

The main point of confusion is the art-style and features of Keldeo, as it looks like a unicorn. It doesn't have armor or any fighting related equipment, just normal hoofs. What is even more confusing is the fact that it is also a water Pokémon, but it doesn't look like that either. Why is it considered a Fighting-type Pokémon is a big mystery.

7 Is Machamp A Human?

Let us bring a theory here and explore it further. The design of this Fighting-type Pokémonknown as Machamp, is very human-like, with its second form being the closest to a human. Machoke has ten toes, eight fingers, two thumbs, and a body that looks like a wrestler.

It moves like a person and fights like a person, which begs the question, is it a human? It could be a genetically altered Homosapien or they evolved in a Darwinian way rather than a Pokémon way. Both the crazy theories, but the latter is much more plausible.

6 Heracross Is A Crossbreed Pokémon?

The Heracross Pokémon

Heracross is a Fighting-type Pokémon that is also a Bug-type. Then why is it included in the roster of fighting Pokémon? There can be only one reason for that. It is a cross-breed. Which begs the question, who are the two Pokémon that originally bred a Heracross?

Its legs resemble a Nidoqueen, even though Nidoqueen is a Ground-/Poison-type, while the shape of its body is similar to a Hitmonlee. Could they be responsible for Heracross? To be honest, nobody has the answer to that other than the person who conceptualized this character.

5 Are Hitmonchan Gloves Part Of His Body?

Hitmonchan is one of the most famous fighting Pokémon ever, and that is because it was part of Generation I, and therefore has been around for a long time. It is one of the evolutions of Tyrogue, which is the basic form of the Pokémon. The Tyrogue evolves into Hitmonchan if its defense is more than its attack, which explains the boxer image of Hitmonchan because boxers are known to work on their defense techniques.

However, what it doesn't explain are the gloves. How are they suddenly a part of the character? Are they part of its body? Can it take them off? Maybe we'll never know.

4 Are Fighting-Types Actually Normal?

A lot of people have played Pokémon games, watched the series or read the books. And in all of them, a Fighting-type Pokémon usually have no elemental powers. Which raises the question, are Fighting-type Pokémon just Normal-type with a heavy-training background?

The similarities are very easy to catch and the only difference is that the Fighting-type Pokémon are effective against a normal one. But any normal being who has trained a lot should possess more fighting skills than someone who has not.

3 Why Does Hitmonlee Have No Mouth?

Where is Hitmonlee's mouth? The question is quite simple. When we see the design of its previous form Tyrogue, it is a humanoid Pokémon with hands, legs, eyes, and a mouth. So how can the mouth just disappear? Tyrogue evolves into Hitmonlee if its attack attribute is more than its defense.

All of that certainly explains the long legs and speed of this PokémonBut it still does not shed a beam of light on the disappearance of his perfectly proportionate mouth. If this question isn't enough, there are more. How does it eat? How does it breathe?

2 Why Is Sirfetch'd A Fighting-Type?

By the time Generation VIII came, the designs of Pokémon had reached a creative plateau. Previously, most Pokémon were close to humans, animals, or nature.

Then it all blew out of proportion when we got creatures such as Sirfetch'd. Its previous form Farfetch'd is a Normal-/Flying-type but after it evolves, it becomes a pure Fighting-type Pokémon. Why is it suddenly categorized as a Fighting-type PokémonWhy did it lose its Flying-type when it still resembles a bird?

1 Which is the Strongest Fighting-Type Pokémon?

Here is what it all boils down to. Who is the undisputed champion of the Pokéworld? Pokémon is already about battling each other, but if we see inside that bubble, we see particularly every Fighting-type Pokémon battling just to be the champ.

What other reason is there for a fighter to fight and a wrestler to wrestle? It's the title to be known as the best Fighting-type ever. Here the thing, it is not as easy to evaluate. As people will always have opinions, some will vote for Machamp while others may vote for Blaziken. And we'll never know until a game or movie is released that specifically titles a Fighting-type champion.
