Microprose Take Aim With Two New FPS

microprose two new fps

Microprose, the old school developer that respawned earlier this year has loaded up two new FPS for gamers to get a glimpse of today.

After coming back out of nowhere earlier this year, Microprose has been busy piecing together a new lineup of title for gamers to get a look at and today they’ve unveiled a couple of new FPS tot heir publishing line up. Microprose has just signed deals to bring Warfare 1944 and Operation: Harsh Doorstop to PC, via Steam.

Warfare 1944

Warfare 1944 takes plenty of guidance from old school FPS plunging players into a WWII stylized tactical shooter. Taking place at the end of WWII, this title allows players to explore large open environments with a variety of weapons and equipment at hand to take on their enemy. It isn’t all shoot and loot however, with a focus on tactical gameplay. Bullets are deadly; one shot can kill. Team communication is essential, and Warfare 1944 features robust proximity voice communication which allows you to communicate with your fellow soldiers alongside you. Warfare 1944 is due to hit Early Access on Steam on 7 July so anybody ready to get on the front lines won’t have long to wait.

Operration Dark Doorstop

Developed by Drakeling Labs, this FPS is yet another tactical military shooter. That might be no surprise for many of you watching the lineup of Microprose games. What makes this deployment different is that it is a community-based project. This free to play experience is due to land free of micro-transactions, paid downloadable content, or loot box mechanics. While it purports to be a free community-based project, you should still be able to get down on the ground in Afghanistan, supporting NATO forces during the summer of 1991. Once again, you’ll be able to pick it up on Steam.

Both of these titles are now available to wishlist on Steam and add to an already growing line up of military sims that Microproes is bringing back to PC games. Whether these two new Microprose published FPS blow away the competition, we will have to wait and see later this year.
