SEGA has announced that the first massive addition to Phantasy Star Online 2 will be coming to PC and Xbox One in August. The announcement was accompanied by a brand new Episode 4 trailer that showcases some of what players can expect when the new content arrives. Episodes 1-3 constitute the base PSO2 game with the new content sending players on interstellar travel.
In Episode 4, players will wake from a long sleep to discover an invasion of “face ARKS members” and a brand new enemy called The Phantom. In addition, “a new planet has been discovered in another dimension — Earth”. The new content comes along with an increased level cap and new locations to explore including Las Vegas and Tokyo. Players will be working to solve the mystery of the black shadow and to defeat what are being called the “most powerful enemies encountered” in the game so far.
PSO2 is currently available for Xbox One and for PC via Windows but will be coming to additional PC platforms in the near future.
