While Larian Studios is hard at work in its newest game, Baldur's Gate 3, it apparently still has time to continue supporting Divinity: Original Sin 2. During Sunday's Guerrilla Collective online presentation, Larian made two different Divinity-related announcements. The first is the release of Divinity: Original Sin 2's biggest goodie bag of DLC content yet, while the second is an all-new Divinity graphic novel that's set before the events of Divinity: Original Sin 2.

The new gift bag DLC for Divinity: Original Sin 2 is entirely free and already available for players to download and discover.  The DLC's name is The Four Relics of Rivellon and it refers to four new armor sets that can be discovered in-game. Each set of armor will have its own respective quest, involving new enemies and encounters, and there's even a brand new undead dragon boss for players to test their might against. Larian's really gone all-out for this DLC, adding assorted new lore and even narration as necessary.

Four sets of armor are included in The Four Relics of Rivellon DLC. The Captain Armor can "dominate the minds of those around you," with each piece boosting Lucky Charm, Persuasion, and Bartering. Vulture Armor, as its name implies, gives the wearer permanent vulture-like wings. Contamination Armor is impervious to poison and spawns exploding spores. Finally, the Devourer Armor makes the wearer "almost invincible." It also can mark a target, making it so they can't dodge and so they take extra damage.

The new gift bag DLC is just the first awesome announcement for Divinity fans, however. In addition to the new DLC, Larian is publishing its own Divinity: Original Sin 2 graphic novel named GodwokenGodwoken expands on the origin stories for each of the six Godwoken protagonists of Divinity: Original Sin 2. Even better, the entire story is entirely canon.

Godwoken will feature 300 fully colored pages and will come in two different editions, a hardback and a paperback. The hardback, referred to as the book's Collector's Edition, features a dust jacket, a ribbon bookmark, as well as "additional art pieces and poster."  It'll sell for $59.99 prior to shipping and tax. The paperback will be a bit more affordable at $29.99, with both editions available for pre-order through Larian's merchandise store. Note that the Collector's Edition is said to have limited availability.

Altogether, it's a lot more than Divinity fans likely expected for the franchise this late in Divinity: Original Sin 2's lifecycle, especially so with Baldur's Gate 3 production coming up to its Early Access launch.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
