Fallout 76 delays its legendary perk system and new event

Fallout 76’s upcoming Update 20 is looking a little more bare than it was last week, as Bethesda announced that it’s going to be holding back its legendary perk system and the new Colossal Problem event to a future date in order to make more adjustments to both.

“As a preview, some of the improvements we’re currently working on will allow you to swap legendary perks in and out at any time in exchange for a few Perk Coins,” Bethesda said, “as well as save your legendary perk selections even if you haven’t filled all of your available slots. We are also looking into creating new legendary perks and changing some existing ones based on community discussions.”

That leaves Fallout 76’s first season on patch day as well as the much-needed public teams system. There’s no date set yet for Update 20, but Bethesda did promise that it would post in-depth articles about both seasons and public teams in the coming weeks.
