As more details start to come to light about the new Expansion PassPokemon Sword and Shield fans have grown more excited about the possibilities this content could bring. In fact, Reddit user Bostar122 decided to have some fun and create shiny variants of some of the new legendary Pokemon seen throughout the trailers.

In the upcoming DLC, Pokemon Sword and Shield fans will have a wealth of new content and features to explore. Besides new ways to get Gigantamax Pokemon, the expansion also promises several Pokemon from previous generations will make their return as well. Players can also expect brand new Galarian forms of old Pokemon, in addition to entirely new Generation 8 Pokemon.

With the introduction of new legendary Pokemon Regidrago and Regeleki, and Galarian forms of Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres, Reddit user Bostar122 decided to take the time and create concepts for their shiny variants. For Regidrago, the new legendary dragon type Regi, the original red and charcoal coloring has been changed to a grey and forest green. The new electric Regi, Regeleki, can be seen with a mixture of blues and pinks, rather than its original various shades of yellow.

Fan made shiny forms of new Galarian Legendaries

Bostar122 created some shiny variants for the Galarian forms of the legendary birds from Kanto as well. The now psychic/flying type Articuno had its soft purple feathers changed for a bright pink coloration. Zapdos, now a fighting/flying type, sports a nice blue-green rather than its normal orange. And finally Moltres, the dark/flying type, can be seen with a more distinct yellow color instead of its typical dark red.

While these variants are all fan-created, it's easy to tell that a lot of time and effort went into making them. Reddit users seemed to love them too considering, at the time of writing this article, the posts average to about 235 upvotes. Of the five, Galarian Zapdos has received the most upvotes with a total of 343. It goes without saying, but it seems that players hope that the actual variants found in the new DLC will be as good as these.
